Qualify for Medicaid Home Care Services with a Pooled Income Trust
Date: Wednesday, March 15 2023
Time: 9:30am-11:00am ET
Modality: Zoom
Presenter: NYSARC Trust Services
Description: Learn how a pooled income trust can help a person qualify financially for Medicaid home care services even if their income is above the financial limits. The funds deposited into the pooled income trust can then help pay a person’s monthly living expenses so that they are able to live at home for as long as possible.
In 2023, New York State Medicaid significantly raised the income and resource limits for people with disabilities and adults over age 65. This is great news for the communities we serve as it expands access to Medicaid-funded community-based long-term care services. Attend this workshop to learn about how these changes will affect current recipients of Medicaid services and new applicants.
