City Advocacy

LiveOn NY is committed to advocating for fair and equitable funding for aging services throughout every community in New York. Whether it’s for Older Adult Centers, NORCs, case management, home delivered meals, affordable senior housing, transportation, or other life sustaining services, we know that government funding makes a critical difference in countless lives. We encourage you to join us in advocating for funding that will meet the needs of New York's aging population!

Despite progress, New York City’s budget for the Department for the Aging (DFTA), which funds critical services for older adults, remains less than 1% of the overall budget. It’s time to change that. It’s time to invest in aging services.
