Our Work
LiveOn NY's programs ensure that older New Yorkers throughout our state have the supports they need. From training the aging service workforce through workshops and coalitions, to ensuring access to financial support through the Benefits Outreach Program, to changing how policies are carried out at the City and State level through our advocacy and more, these programs are making a difference in how New Yorkers age.
Policy & Advocacy
Throughout the year, LiveOn NY organizes annual campaigns to ensure that the voice of seniors is at the table for budgetary, regulatory and legislative decisions. To do this, we emphasize relationship building and education with elected officials, government staffers and key advocacy partners. The focus of our work is rooted in ensuring that older New Yorkers have access to community and social services so that they can live like they have always lived: like New Yorkers.
Benefits Outreach and Assistance
Our Benefits Outreach Program conducts targeted outreach, eligibility screening and application assistance for benefits for residents 60+ in the highest need, lowest enrollment areas in the city.
Professional Development and Coalition Building
Each year, LiveOn NY presents a variety of educational events, trainings and workshops focused on innovative ideas, best practices and real life skills designed to educate senior service professionals and enhance the quality of services provided by the aging services network throughout New York.
