LiveOn NY Training opportunities
Educational and training opportunities for the aging service network on the most relevant and timely topics, cutting edge research, resources, trends, programs, guidance and developments in the field of aging.
Upcoming Training Opportunities
Our training is designed to help our members throughout New York State to make progress on the most challenging issues we all face. Many of our members have told us about the urgent need to address mental health concerns, including finding the most effective ways of handling secondary trauma, the need to figure out re-gathering in person plans, and the best ways to support caregivers and their own teams. Our training brings in the best experts in the field to share insights and bring hands-on solutions to dealing with today’s challenges. Please join us for one, some, or all of the sessions to earn Continuing Education (CE) credits and to be part of a community sharing a joint mission.
Previous Workshop Series
LiveOn NY’s Senior Center Training Initiative
Empowering Aging Services Providers to Meet Emerging Needs and Best Practices
LiveOn NY hosted a series of workshops on innovative approaches for aging services and senior center operations, presented by a diverse lineup of distinguished experts. The goal of these workshops was to help identify barriers that nonprofits face when providing services, with the purpose of sharing solutions-based input with our partners and stakeholders.
This virtual workshop series was made possible by the generous support of the New York Community Trust and New York City Council Member Margaret Chin.
