Reframing Aging Initiative General Training
Description: How we talk about aging and older adults matters. We all age, yet public perception around aging and older people is often a cycle of negative stereotypes, assumptions and misconceptions. In New York City, the Reframing Aging Initiative was launched to counteract ageism and improve the way policymakers, stakeholders, and the public think about aging and older people. By changing the way we talk, we will change attitudes about aging; and ultimately, we will advance policies and programs that support us all as we age.
Join LiveOn NY for a Reframing Aging Initiative training to learn more about the Reframing Aging Initiative, why we need to reshape how we understand aging in New York City and specific communications tools and strategies to reframe your language.
