Join LiveOn NY as we seek to transform New York, to help ensure every older adult has access to affordable housing, with relevant services, so that they can age and thrive in their communities.
About LiveOn NY
Founded 44 years ago, LiveOn’s mission is to represent the diverse network of nonprofit organizations that help older New Yorkers thrive in their communities. Through advocacy, mobilization and coalition building, we advance systemic change to ensure that New York is an equitable and inclusive place to age regardless of wealth, racial disparities and other barriers. LiveOn’s member network includes 120 nonprofit agencies that run more than 1,000 community programs and serve over 500,000 older adults annually.
Through our Affordable Senior Housing Coalition & Policy Work we are committed to bolstering the development and preservation of affordable senior housing in New York City, and throughout New York State. Affordable and safe housing with services is critical to all New Yorkers as we age. Our collective voice, coordination and advocacy is needed now more than ever!

About Stonewall House
Stonewall House, a 17-story building in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, was the first building in New York State designed as an LGBTQ+ friendly affordable senior community and is the largest in the country. Completed in December 2019, the building brought 145 affordable housing units to the community, 25 percent of which went to formerly unhoused individuals. The building also features a 7,000 square-foot community center run by SAGE, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ elders.
